A healthy body is immune to any disease which makes our mind free from stress and tension. If we have less stress then there will be less hypertension, which is the main cause for all kinds of heart diseases. Like the saying goes, “A happy heart is always a healthy heart”.

1. Maintain balanced diet: If we wish to keep our body fit we must follow balanced diet. A balanced diet means getting the right type and amount of food to supply nutrition and energy for supporting normal growth and development. Many of us don’t diet properly. There is no point in fasting the whole day and eating a huge meal in the evening that will make you put on more fat. Instead you must eat small amounts of food.

2. Give up alcohol and tobacco:  These two habits have caused many people to get heart diseases. It has become social trend in today’s society. It has its own harmful effects on heart. When the lungs get affected, the blood flow through blood vessels gets affected.

3. Regular exercise: It is very important to do regular exercise as the blood flow through the blood vessels can be maintained. You must keep an eye whle doing exercises that you should not cross your limit. Don’t stress too much on your heart.

4. Monitor your health: From time to time it is better to have a check up by visiting the doctor. People especially above the age of 50 should keep this in mind. Regular tracking of blood pressure and lipid profile tests and maintaining body according to their results can be useful to keep our heart healthy.

5. Life style: Our lifestyle is a very important factor in maintaining a healthy mind and soul. We must be active and think good things. Avoid getting depressed on small matters. Try to do maximum exercise whenever you can. Like park your car as far as possible and walk to your office or while shopping, use the steps instead of the lift.
